  1. Introduction The work of modernizing the area continues, marked by

the renewal of the lifts and the reorganizing of the slopes, in line with the forecasted five year investment, to restore the area to the standards required for a station of the level of Courmayeur. For the coming winter season there are many new features planned. Continue the commitment to connote the area: the new image, specifically studied by the designer Arnaldo Tranti, well reflects this with the ambi- tion to combine modern and traditional, with a view to respecting the environment and looking for discretion and less visual impact.
  2. New Bertolini chairlift The Bertolini chairlift is a strategic lift

for the area of Courmayeur, located in one of the most scenic points, with breathtaking views of the south side of Mont Blanc. The Bertolini serves three of the most interesting slopes of Val Veny: no. 18 Internazionale, no. 23 Des Eves and no. 24 Rocce Biance. Runs that are classified as difficult and very difficult with a position that ensures excellent snow conditions throughout the winter. The old lift will be replaced by a four-seater chairlift with automatic coupling, optimizing layout and positioning the arrival station a few hundred metres higher allowing skiers to easily reach Youla and the top of the Checrouit gondola.

  4. Operations on the slopes The construction of two major connections

on the Val Veny side not only increases the skiable pistes but streamlines and makes more usable the existing pistes, interconnecting in an efficient manner the existing lifts: the diagonal from the top station of the Peindent chairlift reaches the Bertolini bottom station measuring about 1.3 km and allowing the movement of skiers, including beginners, between the three lifts of the Val Veny and the Pra Neyron chairlift. Lower down the construction of a ring between the exit of the stretch called ‘Ponte degli Egiziani’and the bottom station of the Peindent chairlift completes the path between the top and bottom stations of the Peindent chairlift. The modification of the first stretch of the piste ‘diretta’ for a length of approximately 300 metres will be carried out, starting from the crossroads called ‘quadrifoglio’, in order to adapt for piste canons until the entry of the above mentioned diagonal track. After years of inactivity the stretch of piste ‘diretta’ at the exit of the the ‘ponte del egiziani’ till the bottom station of Zerotta will re-open.
  5. Snowpark New and exciting for next winter is the Snowpark.

It will be a fun park, suitable for beginners and all levels of riders, also thought of as an interesting alternative for the many freeriders who come to Courmayeur. There will be a “Progressive” area with rails which are easy to deal with, suitable for children and beginners, an area with more challenging rails for experienced riders, a line of jumps 6/8 metres high and facilities for jibbing. There will also be an airbag 15 metres by 15 metres and 4 metres high ,with two jumps, one easy one for beginners and a more challenging one for riders who want to develop new manoeuvres. The park will be located 2,000 meters above sea level in the heart of the ski area, with the striking backdrop of the Mont Blanc range. The design is the result of two professionals: Roberto Moresi, FIS responsible for the construction of the structures of the Snowboard world cup and Matteo Ghiazza veteran of freestyle skiing. The management of the snowpark will be carried out by the sports association Courmarider.
  6. New cabins for the Courmayeur cable car The Courmayeur cable

car, a lift that welcomes guests to Courmayeur, flying over the state road of access to the village, has a new look, in line with the simple and elegant image of the area. The capacity is the same as the “Funivia Gigante” that after accompanying skiers to Plan Checrouit for 34 years will be converted and used as a covered area of the Snowpark.
  7. Free Wi-Fi in the area We are working to have

free wi-fi in all the major joining points on the ski area. This new technology will enable our customers to stay connected and to receive real time updates from social networks.
  8. New internet portal In a world in constant evolution, with

disclosure time almost immediate, there is a need to quickly find all the information you need in one virtual place. The new portal is a full menu in which the user has access to each service offered by the Courmayeur ski area so he can really make his stay ‘Tailor Made’. We have made a friendly virtual world that is easy to use, that can meet the various needs of the varying consumers, from the alpine climber looking for the most difficult routes to the freerider always looking for new lines, to the family on a skiing holiday, to the segment for foreigners, not to mention our frequent visitors, the owners of a second home ...
  9. social networks Particular attention has been paid to social networks.

Facebook: our page is a source of news and events, as well as a place where all may have a direct dialogue with us and can be sure to have an answer. The intention is to make the page a tool in which to find more timely updates of news related to weather and operational issues of the area. www.facebook.com/funiviecourmayeur Instagram: new, introduced in the summer, to immediately share sensations and images. www.followgram.me/courmayeur To complete the Courmayeur Experience via the web, there will be the important implementation of the web cam that will allow users to not only see real-time conditions of the area but also to admire Mont Blanc in all its splendor.
