  1. Well, when I first made it in I ah... When

I first made it in I didn’t meet a lot of people. It was a struggle to even get the time of day from anyone. I had thought-
  2. You’re just delivering it like it’s a matter of fact,

but this is your lived experience. I want to live it myself when I watch this later.
  3. I-

  4. When I first arrived here I didn’t make a lot

of friends. People didn’t want to talk to me and only seemed to do it because I existed in their space.
  5. One of the first classes I remember taking was an

introduction to the bare basic elements of film making. It was everything about everything, filming, directing, editing. All on the most basic lev-
  6. This is absurd. You know the answers already, yeah? You

do it get your own performative bullshit, because I don’t get it.
  7. Come on! John, we only have this equipment for another

hour! Just talk to us. How is your life as a student different now than when you first began?
  8. First of all the amount of caffeine I drink a

day has almost doubled. The big difference though is just the amount of work for the most part. It’s not as much just rigging a shoot together in a basement and...go...ing.
  9. What was that? Why would you put that in the,

the edit? The edit shouldn’t even be done yet we just started filming.
  10. John Doe: I know that, but-okay next question. Interview: Okay.

Uh, why did you go into a track to the film industry?
  11. It was something my mom was watching when I was

supposed to be asleep. I was behind the couch trying not to get noticed. It was this talking scene between a couple. Neither party said a word, but they didn’t need to. The images all communicated the ideas for them and I was just enthralled with it until the moment Mom caught me and sent me back to bed.
  12. I think you might need to go lay down. Take

a break, we’ll reschedule the rest of the shoot with-
  13. The Storyteller. He insisted on it, not me. Technically. Only

one person knows about my opus. The person I trust the most. Just relax, everything is taken care of on this.
  14. Thanks for meeting up with me. No problem, it’s just

breakfast. But what’s up with The Storyteller? Needed to vent about him or something?
  15. I needed to ask you something. What’s the deal with

this project? I’m not supposed to te-
  16. I know, you swore to secrecy. I’m your best friend

too though. You can tell me these things.
  17. -There’s no need to be angry John. It doesn’t do

us any good. It only makes sense that I know what you’re doing this week. -I thought the sentence was more clear this time. You just -There is no “us!” I want to know what the hell is with this. -I’m talking about Saturday! What the actual fuck is this on Saturday?! -IT’S FUCKING STUPID!
  18. I know it’s hard. I’m not sorry for doing it.

It will make our work better than you could ever know. It’s impossible!
  19. Craig John...we can talk this over. Put down the- John

No! I can’t! You don’t understand why I have to do this! Craig: Alright, let’s talk this out. What happened? John: I can’t tell you. I can’t. If I do the storyteller is going to- Craig:I get it, he swore you to secrecy. I’m your best friend though. You can tell me these things. We can fix this! John: You don’t get to say that! (Beat) Not after you had the chance to ruly warn me about all this.
  20. John! Enough of this! You don’t have to be like

the storyteller! No. But I’m just like him anyway.
