in your headline, summary and descriptions; maximize those characters Tell a story; don’t just make lists List different positions within same organization as different entries and, further, ask for recommendations for all of those positions Always customize connection request email; don’t use the default message, especially if you do not know the person It is OK to list “seeking opportunities” in your headline if you are presently between jobs Be sure to your profile matches your current situation
