Second Base | February 2024

This was a sequence created for "Second Base", a collaborative short film completed under the Pacific Northwest College of Art's first 48-Hour Animation Jam, and is incomplete because it was a joint project. These scenes follow our ghost protagonist traveling through Atlantis and Hell.

2. The Ghost floats down from above (O.S), 8A
3. And begins to sink in the ocean. 8B
4. A Mermaid Ghost swims in from SCENE LEFT to watch the Ghost, 8C
5. And continues to float downward. 8D
6. The Ghost twirls as they sink, floating in front of Atlantis. 8E
7. The Ghost settles onto the ocean floor, 8F
8. Resting for a rare moment of peace. 8G
9. The Ghost continues to rest, 9A
10. But is alarmed by the rumbling and cracking of the ocean floor. 9B
11. The ocean floor cracks apart, 9C
12. And the Ghost begins to fall downward once again. 9D
13. The Ghost falls towards Hell below (O.S.) 9E
14. The Ghost continues their fall towards the depths of Hell. 10A
15. And the ocean floor recedes as the Ghost falls further down. 10B
16. And the ocean floor recedes as the Ghost falls further down. 10C
17. Flames cover the screen, where Hell lies behind. 11A
18. The flames pull back to reveal the Ghost about to crash into Hell where the Demon Ghost resides. 11B
19. The Ghost thumps onto the floor, and the Demon Ghost observes them. 11C
20. The Ghost begins to recover from their fall, 11D
21. And floats upward to meet the Demon Ghost’s gaze. 11E
22. The Demon Ghost looks at the Ghost (O.S.), annoyed by their sudden appearance. 12A
23. The Ghost looks back at the Demon Ghost (O.S.) nervously. 13A
24. The Ghost looks down at the floor in sudden shyness, 13B
25. Before looking up again with a hopeful expression. 13C
26. The Ghost smokes weed in the aftermath of a sexual scene, leaving the Demon Ghost stunned. 14A
