18. Education in Corporate Technology • Little pedagogy or discipline (probably none) • Knowledge or Skills Focussed • not thinking, • Motivation, Purpose and Skills Irrelevant • Extremely targeted, measured, • Hard dollar values to a “course” • Often reward focussed
19. Human Empathy • Any nerd over 35 got bullied at school • Any nerd under 35 got a golden fleece • Any nerd over 50 has had enough & probably works in management • Smart people who don’t do people
20. . • Skills and Knowledge commonly obsolete every 10 years • Operational paradigms and applying technology changes every 5 years • In 25 years, I’ve seen more structural change than education has seen in 100 years • Learning is done in the workplace or on own time
