  1. Non-apocalyptic -> Apocalypse (pre-lore) People in the 90’s thought the

    world would end in the year 2000, thinking the computers would be unable to handle the date 2000. and that everything would crash and fail. Of course, this did not happen but in this universe it did. When this happened, things did get broken and crashed, bombs and nukes spontaneously exploded, most people died, but they could have fixed this; the damage was not irreparable. But something else prevented most of humanity from doing this; fear. People saw what was happening and they became terrified of what was to come, even though nothing worse was going to happen after the initial breakages. People started to run wild, looting shops, breaking into houses, and overall just running rampant. Society crumbled as a result, people’s own fears got the better of them and humanity had been divided into 2 groups, the Busted and the N2 (Nirvanas) The Busted consists of people who weren’t scared of what would happen after the year 2000, and left the bunkers very soon after the initial event. They ended up with most of the resources and became very enhanced in their technology, thanks to Petrikov, a robot that sustained most of the world’s information (Petrikov only allows the Busted to use said knowledge after they have proven to have rid themselves of “pointless” emotions). The N2 consists of people who are terrified of the future and are fearing something like this would happen again, so they decided to live without technology, similar to the amish. They left their bunkers after a decade, much later than the Busted (again due to fear).
  2. Non-apocalyptic -> Apocalypse The year is 2035, and the two

    groups - the Busted and the Nirvanas. Over the past 35 years, both groups have advanced in their own ways. The Busted immediately left their hiding, and wished to recreate their technological world, but with the glitches fixed - they want to go further than they ever did. They discover an unbelievably advanced piece of machinery, a computer that has calculated so much due to the mass amount of power generated by the nukes, and create a rudimentary vessel to explain this information in a way they could actually understand, but Petrikov demands blood, as he does not think humanity are capable of handling such powerful technology and wants the Busted to prove themselves. They have been taking the Nirvanas’ lives as sacrifices, hunting them down and killing them to meet Petrikov’s demands. This year, a girl named Pandora is chosen as one of the hunters.
  3. Story Notes World went to bad bad in 2000, takes

    place in 2035 Event called y2kys Everyone went into hiding Group A (70%) that has not left their apocalypse bunker since 2000 Group B (30%) realised they couldn’t hide forever and came out of hiding to make a new world in 2002 (they became very cybernetically enhanced), this group is a bit of meanies and wont share their tech Group A left 10 years later, they are way less technologically advanced (they are scared of such tech and so they decide to go back around 100 years in tech), they resort to farmland and such while group B is superiorly technologically advanced, Group A is trying to be friendly while Group B is womp womp ew people meanies. There are aliens btw (i don't know man) Aliens gave Group B most of their new tech, but demand a sacrifice from Group A every year, the leader of the aliens is Petrikov, a small robot (wall-e became evil) About 400 mil left around the world, 300 mil die to bad conditions We focus on a group of 5-10k people
  4. Protagonist Meet our stories protagonist, Pandora. Pandora was a child

    when the Y2KYS happened, and left the bunker with her older sister in 2002, to join the new world. She follows a “Man in a hole” character arc, as more explained on the next slide.
  5. Story arc Pandora’s story stars when we pick up with

    her again in 2035, the year she is selected as a hunter for the first time. On her first hunt, her target is a child, which stumps the usually emotionless young woman. In a moment of rare humanity, she chooses to spare the child. Due to this show of emotion, she is kicked from her people, labeled as a traitor. She wanders the wasteland for a while, before being taken in by the people she was once slaughtering.
  6. Story Synopsis The year was 2000 when an apocalypse of

    imaginable scale destroyed the world. The apocalypse happened due Humanity’s technology failed them, malfunctioning and it ceased to function normally the moment the first second of the year 2000 struck. Most of the world becomes uninhabitable due to an intense nuclear winter covering the globe. Acid rain had descended down, causing most farmland to be unusable and water supplies being poisoned. More than 95% of humanity has been wiped additionally, with another 70% slowly dying out due to being unable to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic conditions Around 2010, a group of 7000 people in Lithuania, called the Busted, had survived the apocalypse via a bunker that came out of hiding. The group is diverse as many people fled countries which had many nuclear weapons, for example prominently Russia and the UK. The Busted had come out of hiding and started to uncover debris and artefacts left from the Old World. A while after, the Busted found an old computer program. It held data on everything that could ever and have been made by humanity; essentially it held the knowledge of everything. This happened due to the computer program being left turned on during the apocalypse, the apocalypse gave the computer so much computing power that it could calculate and learn billions of things within a matter of seconds. The Busted, discovering this technology, decided to try to build a rudimentary robot to hold all this data and help them re-establish a new world. After a few months of trial and error, they eventually built the robot and it came to life. The robot had given himself the name Petrikov, after the creator of the program who had died in the apocalypse, Petrikov harboured deep hatred for humanity due to this, believing that humanity was at complete fault for the apocalypse due to their technology, and that if humanity hadn’t been so naive with their technology, the apocalypse would not have happened. In order to enact revenge upon humanity, yet also give them another chance with new technology from his knowledge, he ordered that 50 humans be sacrificed a year. In return, he will give humanity the knowledge within him to create a new prosperous world. Reluctantly, the Busted agreed. In just 10 years, technology had sky-rocketed, with the Busted now being cybernetically enhanced, living in a prosperous city, yet the yearly sacrifices still occurred. Around this time, a new group of 3000 people called Nirvana had finally left their bunker. Nirvana were the exact opposite of the Busted. They were terrified of technology and had decided to go back 100 years in technological development to avoid such a catastrophic apocalypse happening again. Nirvana resorted to living without technology and had peacefully lived for a few short months. One day while the Busted were on patrol, they had found Nirvana and their small village, upon discovering that human life still exists elsewhere, the Busted immediately contacted Nirvana, asking if they would like to join their technologically advanced civilization. Nirvana, insulted by how cruel they are for once again adopting technology, despite knowing what happened due to technology, berated the Busted and criticised them. The Busted, feeling insulted and enraged, have decided to now commit their yearly sacrifices onto Nirvana. Sending a “Hunter” every year, tasked to take 50 peoples lives. After a few years of this, it is now 2035, the Hunter named “Pandora” has been assigned as a Hunter. At this point, the Busted had lost all their remaining humanity due to their increased cybergenetics, suppressing emotions of fear and sympathy, as they were deemed to be a liability and a hindrance for the future of the Busted. Pandora sets off to exterminate 50 people from Nirvana, but as she is about to kill a young child, she miraculously feels sympathetic for the cowering child and stops her slaughter. Reporting back to the Busted trying to convince them that what they are doing is wrong. The Busted view her as a traitor, seeing her as a liability now due to her regained humanity. She is expelled out of the Busted and forced to fend for herself for now on. With nowhere to go, people from Nirvana had found her and decided to take her in, believing she could be redeemed.
