2. First Contact • Software Engineer at Silicon Valley tech startup in Shibuya • Dear Hirata-san, pardon the sudden email. How are things at your current job? My name is Tony Morris. I am an executive recruiter in Tokyo specialized in software engineering. We were referred to you as a skilled software developer with experience in Python. I am emailing you about a position as a Senior Software Engineer with a fast-growing tech startup in Tokyo. They have offices in Tokyo and Silicon Valley and have raised a considerable amount in venture funding. I am considering you for a position on their engineering team. They are very interested in software engineers with experience with Python and web development. They run on top of AWS and need someone to help with their web service. Basic level English and/or Japanese is required (not fluent). They are also using Go (golang).

7. リクルート会社（サーチ型）の仕組み • 企業から依頼を受けて人材を探す会社をサーチ型という • 転職希望者がサイトに登録するのは「エントリー型」 • リクルート会社は転職先の企業から報酬をもらう • 年収の何パーセントかで報酬額が決まる • 年収を上げる事がリクルーターのモチベーションになる • リクルート会社を利用するとどんな良いことがあるのか？ • 自分の強み・弱みについて会話する中で冷静にキャリアを考えられる • レジュメのガイド・レビューをしてくれる • 合格する可能性が高い会社を紹介してくれるので、効率的 • リクルーターも無駄な仕事はしたくないので • 相場もはっきり教えてくれる(外資系の場合、年収10%-15%up、これが人事の承認基準)

12. When I'm handling my client's big data,I feel I'm the king of the world. • DWHを開発してると、お客様のデータを大量に取り扱う • 特にスーパーのPOSデータを全社的に１年分ハンドルした時は快感だった • ちょっとした分析のためにawkとかPythonとか使えるので楽しい • その会社のすべてを知っている気持ちになれる • この快感は、オンライン系のシステム開発では得られない
