    of the main job search portal in Spain are women. Only 2% of female applicants come from engineering and technical fields.
  4. Current situation “Social stereotypes and their own underestimation led girls

    to believe they are less well suited for STEM careers”
  5. Current situation 47% of students in science and technology high

    school streams are women according to ‘Equality in Figures 2020′ report.
  6. Current situation “The number of female workers in the technology

    sector is growing, although few reach executive positions.” Only 12% of the female population is studying computer science or technology, compared to the European average of 20%. “Only 12% of Spanish women run technology companies” Currently, female enrolments in STEM studies account for 35% of all STEM students. “Only one in six IT specialists and one in three science, technology, engineering and mathematics graduates are women, according to the 4th 'Employability and Digital Talent 2021' study.” 47% of students in science and technology high school streams are women according to ‘Equality in Figures 2020′ report.
