Headless Sequence

A sequence of boards I did about a race between a witch and a bird to apply for a studio years ago.

Transcript

1. 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 Sam is holding up a flag as Witch and Bird get ready to race. Sam raises the flag higher.
2. 1 3 3 1 1 4 4 2 Witch gets ready. Bird gets ready.
3. 1 5 5 3 3 6 1 6 The flag drops down. Bird and Witch race off.
4. 2 1 7 4 4 8 2 1 Bird and Witch are racing. Witch starts to pull ahead.
5. 9 5 10 5 2 2 2 3 Witch veers off to avoid the plane. Bird zooms along windows scaring pilot.
6. 6 11 12 6 2 4 2 5 Bird races along the top of the plane. Bird continues to race along the top of the plane.
7. 7 7 13 14 2 6 2 7 Bird flies along the side of the engine. Bird passes by plane and continues flying.
8. 8 8 15 16 2 8 9 2 Witch rejoins bird. Bird and Witch continue racing.
9. 3 1 17 9 3 2 18 9 Witch reaches for something. Witch rasies her wand ready to cast a spell.
10. 3 3 19 10 3 4 20 10 Witch brings wand down to cast a spell. Witch casts a spell at Bird.
11. 3 5 21 11 12 22 3 5 Bird is racing along. Bird is slowing down.
12. 3 5 23 12 3 6 24 12 Bird looks to see what is going on. Bird’s tail has turned into a weight.
13. 3 7 13 25 13 26 3 8 The weight starts bringing Bird down. Bird turns to look at Witch. Witch flies off in the reflection of Bird’s goggles.
14. 3 9 27 14 14 28 4 8 Bird drops the rest of the way off screen. Witch slowly crosses the finish line.
