Joomla certification exams will go beyond training by providing a documented measurement of knowledge. What is the Joomla Certification Project? Marketing Team Certification Steering Committee Certification Operations Team Certification Extension Team Will build the Joomla! Certification Exam extension application Certification Exam Team
3. What is the Joomla Certification Extension? Backend Administration: • Exam Settings & Configuration (the exam “engine”) • Exam Question Maintenance (the Q&A) • Exam Translations (secured translator interface) • Exam Reporting (tracking metrics & stats) The Certification Extension will manage and deliver all Joomla Certification Exams for the Joomla Community. Exam Application Frontend: • Student Exam Interface (timed & proctored exam) • Student Public Profiles (directory of certified individuals) • Student Private Profile (account & exam history) • Exam Proctor Interface (for Certification Partners) Joomla! Volunteers We Need PHP/MySQL Developers Highly experienced developing Joomla 3.x components and applications UX & Designers Frontend Designers, UX and Usability specialists Business Analysts & End-User Advocates Will help define and document requirements, conduct user acceptance testing Quality Assurance & Security Inspectors Highly knowledgeable on Joomla extension security, code reviews, QA testing, and security penetration tests The Certification Extension Team needs a full project team – could this be you? 5. Volunteer Commitment Develop, test and launch the Joomla Exam Extension Application by November 2015 Joomla! Certification Extension Team - Call for Developer Volunteers As a team member of passionate volunteers: • You’ll meet weekly with the Certification Extension Team to discuss progress and ensure team alignment • You’ll join us for at least 6 months of participation • You’ll dive in deep. All volunteers (except security testers) should be able to volunteer the equivalent of approximately 6 - 8 hours per week • You’ll sign a non-disclosure agreement and adhere to the highest ethical standards to protect the Certification Exam
