1. Speaker Deck Test Slides Kristin Spillane It is my belief that there is no better way to test a new form of technology then to dive in and try to create with it. Rather than Google about the Speaker Deck site I am writing out this information, saving it as a PDF, and attempting to upload it to create a Speaker Deck and see if the technology might be useful to me in my job. In order to create a more robust Speaker Deck, I will add some information about what I do in my role. I am a middle school (grade 6-8) guidance counselor with a small caseload of students with disabilities. I also coordinate our school’s “Peer Mentoring” program that helps students pair with each other for expanded social opportunities during the school day. Perhaps my biggest undertaking is writing and creating lessons for a social emotional curriculum that I have designed. I draw from many different topics and different curricula that I’ve been fortunate enough to gain exposure to over the years. I teach every student in the school 1 lesson per month via classroom push in, so learning different methods of presentation technology is very helpful to help diversify my work and keep it interesting!
