  1. Value What makes a Memorial Estates Burial Space a good

purchase? After all, it is just a 42” by 96” plot of grass.

All Inclusive verse Fee per Service 5. Invasive Biological Care 6. No Ruts 7. Landscape Mitigation 8. Personal Touch 9. Options 10. Personal Pre-planning Consultant
  3. Value Perpetual Care • What Perpetual Care means to you

is that what you see at the cemetery today is what you will see in the future. That is, the high standard of care will not disappear once the cemetery is sold out. • Part of the purchase price for a burial space, called the Endowment Care Fee (ECF) is placed into a trust fund. Only the interest generated by investments made by the fund are used for the future care and maintenance of the property. • At Memorial our trust funds are invested with through Security National Financial Cooperation, a public company based here in Salt Lake which is audited yearly by State and Federal agencies. In other words, we have the funds we say we do.
  4. Value Professional Staff • Our maintenance staff make their living

with Memorial Cemeteries. That is, we do not hire “part time” or “summer” help, or someone who is “Looking for a better job”. Most of our grounds staff have over 7 years experience with Memorial Estates, several have over 20 years. The result is that they “take ownership” in the cemeteries and in providing service to your family. • To encourage this ownership, individuals on the grounds crews are rewarded for going the extra mile, as reported by their peers and customers. • Members of the crew are part of and participate in professional associations. In fact, they attend conferences on Concrete, burial Vaults, Granite, Irrigation systems, and Landscaping. They also instruct others in theses areas of expertise. • All staff members are trained constantly.
  5. Value Technology • At Memorial, we not only work harder,

but also smarter. Our staff look for and incorporate the Best Practices available. • Proper, well maintained, and correct equipment is used. • A computer literate staff is essential these days. At Memorial Estates our grounds staff responds, communicates, and reports on “the web” utilizing such as systems as "Whiteboard” our customer interactive web based service request system . • Most of our irrigation infrastructure is “Computer Controlled” to insure the best grounds possible, with the least amount of waste of energy and water. In fact, we have been featured several times in the local media for this expertise.
  6. Value All Inclusive, not “Fee per Service” • As an

“Endowed Care” Memorial Park, the ongoing cost of “operations” is planed and provided for even after the cemetery has bee “sold out”. The perpetual fund covers the cost. • Once Memorial's service fees have been paid, the subsequent service for the headstone is provide free upon request, if not automatically. What this means is that after the initial fee has been paid, no matter how often you would like that headstone raised, or moved and the replaced for a service, or trimmed, leveled, relocated, etc, there is no additional charge, ever.
  7. Value Invasive Biological Care • Those who expect perfection (Disney

Land, Temple Square, The White House) edge the lawn with a steel blade trimmer because it provides the superior results. We at Memorial expect perfection and so we use a blade trimmer and not the “string trimmers” others use. This may seem to be a minor item, but the results a visibly superior and only at Memorial. • Healthy lawns inhibited weed growth. Keeping the grass feed, adequately hydrated, and properly edged, reduces weed infestations and vastly reduces chemical usage for weed and insect control. You will see the superior results. No Ruts • The average ridding mower used by homeowner weigh a minimum of several hundred pounds. Commercial machines weight even more. Ruts in lawns are caused by the mowing machine following the same pattern week after week. • At Memorial we are the only cemetery to change the mowing patterns weekly, just because we care. Landscape Mitigation • We live in a information and a “throw-a-way” society. Every park needs signs and garbage cans. No one wants their loved one buried next to a billboard or junk yard. At Memorial the “Trash Receptacles” and signs are placed within a Landscaped area that is visually appealing.
  8. Value Personal Touch • We at Memorial like to pamper

the people who come to the cemetery to remember their loved ones. Often they will visit and leave special items at the grave. Rather than simply through everything into the trash like most cemeteries do, we at Memorial Estates collect those items that appear to have personal or emotional value and save them for you to reclaimed latter. • We provide reserved parking spots at the cemetery for those making arrangements. • At Memorial we will provide a bench after the service is over to provide a comfortable place to pause and reflect. Options • At Memorial we are not “One Size Fits All”. • Service options range from simple, to elaborate, to traditional, to unique. • A final resting place may range from a niche, mausoleum, garden burial, family estate, private room, and a private “rock”. • Memorialization is forever, with options from a simple grave marker, to a personalized Memorial, to a unique feature.
  9. Value • At Memorial Estates you will be assisted by

a knowledgably trained professional whose job is not to “sell” you, but to provide to you information, education, and options that you may not be aware of. Once you feel comfortable and competent in your knowledge, we at Memorial believe that you will make the proper decision(s) that make sense to you, your family, and your needs.
