Transcript

  1. With game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, along with

the emergence of AI agents, creating games has become easier than ever. On Steam alone, 21,377 games were released in 2025, making it incredibly difficult to stand out in such a crowded market.
  2. First, you need a unique and engaging game theme or

concept. That said, how do you actually find a "unique and interesting game theme"? We're facing the problem of having way too many roguelikes—games like Vampire Survivors.
  3. This workshop is designed as an experiment to create new

content by bringing together Japanese and Taiwanese cultures in a "new combination."
  4. Yesterday, the students visiting from Japan walked through the streets

of Taipei, taking in Taiwanese culture and experiencing it firsthand at the night markets.
  5. By meeting face-to-face and engaging in dialogue with Taiwanese students

who are also studying multimedia and animation, we hope to see these new combinations take concrete shape.
  6. Content that blends Japanese and Taiwanese cultures has the potential

to resonate in Japan, the Chinese-speaking world, and ultimately become worldwide content.
  7. We hope to start generating that kind of global content

right here, starting with today's workshop at National Taiwan University of Arts.
