  1. Introduction We will be looking into the basics of wormholes.

The basics here will include:  What ship to fly?  How to scan?  What to do once you’ve scanned?  What to expect to find?  What is dangerous?  Q and A (Basic To Advanced)
  2. What do I fly? The magnate is one of the

4 basic T1 scanning frigates in eve. This fit covers the basics of what you may need to successfully scan down a wormhole along with any other sites! So to describe the fit! [High slots] Prototype Cloaking Device I: This device will allow you to cloak yourself when you are scanning, Your speed will be reduced by 90% with the T1 cloak, and the T2 cloak will only reduce you by 75% Core Probe Launcher I: This will allow you to launch your probes into space to scan down signatures. This will be explained in “How to scan” Salvager I: This will allow you to target, and salvage wrecks that you may find of fallen ships allowing you to come away with a small extra profit at any time 5MN Cold-Gas Enduring MWD: This is also referred to as a Prop Mod, or Propulsion module. This will increase your speed greatly (by 500%+) but will consume massive amounts of capacitor. It does have one penalty, reduces your total capacitor capacity. Relic/Data Analyzer I: Your basic hacking tool to open cans in sites that you have scanned down. Nanofiber Internal Structure II: A basic module that will increase your align time as well as your top speed but reduces your total Hull HP Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I: Increases the strength of your scan probes and makes them more effective at locking down signatures. This fit covers the basics for T1 scanning frigates This fit can be standardized for any of the T1 frigates.
  3. How does this scanning stuff work? SO first off you

need to find yourself a signature! A signature shows it self as an empty greyed out bar with the signal starting at 0% This means that you have a 0% progress made in scanning the signature down.
  4. Your steps for finding them will move like this. 

Find your signature  Find launch your probes and open your system map like the picture to the left  Center probes on the signature bubble and click scan  Your going to pinpoint down to one dot once your scan has completed.  Double click on the signature in your probe scanner menu to center your camera on the red dot and re-center your probes on it and scan again.  Rinse and repeat until you have got the signature to 100%.  Note: some signatures you will not be able to scan with low skills so if you are having a problem scanning a signature, it may be too hard to scan for your skills Selecting the pinpoint formation will cluster your probes to scan the signature down with the most strength
  5. What now?  If you’ve found your wormhole, warp yourself

to it and take down some info  Wormhole Name (K162 for example)  What does the wormhole state when you show info for it?  Will be explained more in Q and A Your signatures could run into many possibilities!  Data sites  Relic sites  Wormholes  Combat sites  Sleeper data sites  Gas sites  Ghost combat sites These can be further explained during Q and A
  6. Are any of these dangerous? Safe  Relic sites 

Data sites  Wormholes (if you don’t jump in) Will getcha  Ghost combat sites  Spawns rats as well as has a site wide explosion damage within a set time  Combat sites  Gas sites  Rats spawn in wormhole gas sites 15 minutes after warping to it  Gas clouds in highsec or lowsec will cause damage to your ship randomly when mined  Wormholes (if you jump in… its “nullsec”  Sleeper relic/data sites  They have static defenses that take powerful ships to survive
