2. WHAT WILT THOU HAVE ME DO? REVIEW OF LAST WEEKS LESSON ▸ Resisting the Holy Ghost can lead to rejecting the Savior and His prophets. 4. FIND A QUIET PLACE WHERE YOU CAN REGULARLY GO. PRAY IN THE NAME IF JESUS CHRIST ABOUT THE LONGING OF YOUR HEART. AND THEN LISTEN! WRITE THE THOUGHTS THAT COME TO YOUR MIND. AS YOU REPEAT THIS PROCESS DAY AFTER DAY, MONTH AFTER MONTH, YEAR AFTER YEAR, YOU WILL GROW INTO THE PRINCIPLE OF REVELATION. Russell M. A PRACTICE IN REVELATION… ▸ Read a passage of scripture that would be helpful in your situation (Bible Dictionary, Index, churchofjesuschrist.org) ▸ Ponder what it means ▸ Pray for inspiration ▸ Write down any impressions received ▸ Ask “Is there more?” ▸ Seek for more you can study on this topic THE ELDER SCOTT PATTERN OF SEEKING REVELATION “When I am faced with a very difficult matter, this is how I try to understand what to do. I fast. I pray to find and understand scriptures that will be helpful. That process is cyclical. I start reading a passage of scripture; I ponder what the verse means and pray for inspiration. I then ponder and pray to know if I have captured all the Lord wants me to do. Often more impressions come with increased understanding of doctrine. I have found that pattern to be a good way to learn from the scriptures.” “Strong impressions began to flow to me. I wrote them down, The message included specific counsel on how to become more effective as an instrument in the hands of the Lord. 6. TEXT UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN… ▸ Ponder reasons we sometimes fail to share the gospel with others. Acts 16-21 can help us overcome obstacles that can prevent us from sharing the gospel ▸ If you had the chance to tell leaders of our nation about the gospel what would you say? In Acts 22-28 you can find out what Paul said to some of the most powerful leaders of his day.
