  1. When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay

there in Ephesus and stop those whose teaching is contrary to the truth. Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God. The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would 1 Timothy 1:3-5 (NLT)
  2. be filled with love that comes from a pure heart,

a clear conscience, and genuine faith. But some people have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time in meaningless discussions. They want to be known as teachers of the law of Moses, but they don’t know what they are talking about, even though they speak so confidently. 1 Timothy 1:3-5 (NLT)
  3. “I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come

in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock. Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following. Watch out!” Acts 20:29 (NLT)
  4. Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among

you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes— these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins. Ephesians 5:3 (NLT)
  5. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned

the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Revelation 2:4-5 (NLT)
