Maxim Schepelin is an engineering leader who has spent fifteen years building products used by millions of people every day. He led game development teams at Wargaming before joining Booking.com, where he now serves as a solution architect.

Maxim works at the intersection of technical depth and leadership, turning ambitious ideas into systems that hold up at scale and the teams that keep them running.
He is the coauthor of Engineering Manager's Compass, a practical guide to the everyday realities of engineering leadership, and speaks regularly on architecture and management at conferences, independent of his day job.
