Why web apps ?
1 FRAGMENTATION Making application for one plat- form is easy,
two is a challenge, five is a costly business and sup- porting fifty virtually impossible.
Services for the largest available market will always win Web
apps increases your customer base ten folds
2 THE WEB The web is the future - no
other platform provides the amount of scalibility as the web and it is the only longterm commercially viable content platform.
3 Consumer expectations Consumers only care for the experience
UX is like a magnet it attracts people - they
don’t care whether it’s a native app or web app
An HTML5 mobile app, while not accessible on all mobile
devices, is at least accessible on iOS, Android, webOS, and BlackBerry 6 and soon to be on Windows 7 phone. 4 ACCEssibility
People look for services in app stores and on the
Web. Even for native app, many users will find it through the browser (sharing, search, etc.). 5 FINDABILITY
The process of keeping native apps up to date is
painful as it requires syncing and downloading each new update. On the mobile front, web apps are always up to date, this means serious (and minor) bugs can be fixed immediately sparing people of potential user experience issues. 6 Updation
HTML5 IS THE FUTURE
