  1. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES Klinger manufactured their first magnetic level gauge

in Europe in 1981. Australian manufacture commenced in 1993. Klinger and their licensees produce in excess of 3500 magnetic level gauges per year.
  2. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGE Operating principle On the

dry side of the chamber is the Indicator, a display of magnetic wafers (red/white). As the float moves up or down the magnetic field of the permanent magnet pulls the wafers through a rotation of 180° thus changing their colour. As the float rises the flaps are turned from white to red, as the float falls, they are changed back to white again. The level is represented at any given wafer without any external power supply. The instrument consists of 3 main parts The Float The Chamber The Indicator
  3. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES •  Unique patented system of edge magnetised

injection moulded ferrite wafers •  Aluminium display housing is used as a standard and are certified IP 67 THE DISPLAY UNIT •  For corrosive environments a stainless steel housing is available this housing also meets IP 67 approval •  The display is the only one capable of accommodating media surges of up to 400mm per second
  4. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES THE FLOAT •  Utilizes a vertically mounted

omni directional magnet system •  The float is not pressurized or vented •  It is unguided and free to rotate in the chamber •  The magnets used can accommodate temperatures of up to 400°C 400mm per second
  5. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES 321 Stainless Steel Maximum Pressure 63 bar

Maximum Temperature 400oC Specific Gravity Range 0.72-1.38 THE FLOAT MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
  6. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES Titanium Grade 2 Maximum Pressure 90 bar

Maximum Temperature 315oC Specific Gravity Range 0.45-1.6 THE FLOAT MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
  7. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES Titanium Grade 5 Maximum Pressure 200 bar

Temperature 400oC Specific Gravity Range 0.60-1.50 THE FLOAT MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
  9. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES For corrosive applications, we can : 1.

Use PP, PVDF or UPVC plastic floats for low temperature low pressure applications 2. Use PFA, PVDF, HALAR or Carbon coated stainless steel and titanium floats for higher temperature and higher pressure applications THE FLOAT MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
  10. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES THE FLOAT To enable us to design

a float, we need the following information : 1. Pressure 2. Media and concentration 3. Temperature 4. Specific gravity For interface applications , we need the following additional information : 1. Both media 2. Both specific gravities
  11. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES Seamless Stainless Steel 316/316L Welded Stainless Steel

316/316L Plastics: PVC, PP, PVDF THE CHAMBER MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION

  13. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES Welded or seamless pipe. ASME B31.3 construction

is possible Butt weld , x-ray are all possible Conformity to NACE
  14. MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGES The dead band low (DBL) or high

(DBH) are dependent on Level, Pressure and Specific gravity. This corresponds to the minimum level of liquid to operate the float and the maximum level above that no higher levels are indicated MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGE Top Mounted Gauge
