  4. Overview
    ● How is it different from other Linux distributions?
Fedora has a reputation for focusing on innovation, integrating new
technologies early on and working closely with upstream Linux
communities. Making changes upstream instead of specifically in Fedora
ensures that the changes are available to all Linux distributions.
    ● Current Fedora flavors
    Cloud, Server, and Workstation.
    ● What to expect from new flavors?
Better repositories, more stability, more security, faster updates, great
support and a great community as always!

  5. History – Fedora Linux
    ● An undergraduate project, called ‘Fedora Linux’, started by
Warren Togami in 2002; intended to provide a single repository
for well-tested third-party software packages so that non-Red
Hat software would be easier to find, develop, and use.
    ● 2003 was a landmark year for open-source development, chiefly,
Linux development. This was the year Red Hat discontinued its
popular Linux distribution and branched off into enterprise-first
development with Red Hat Enterprise Edition, and a community
    powered Linux distribution called ‘Fedora’.

  6. Fedora Project
    ● The key of Fedora Linux and Red Hat Linux
Fedora's repository development would be collaborative with
the global volunteer community. Fedora Linux was eventually
absorbed into the Fedora Project, carrying with it this
    collaborative approach
    ● Reasons behind the initiative
    - Innovation vs stability
    - Avoid mixing development with production.

  7. Foundation
    ● Freedom, Friends, Features, First

use, modify, and distribute. It is

the way Fedora is made and developed, and who it’s targeted
    towards.
    - 5 working groups working on Workstation, Server, Cloud,
Base Design and Environment & Stacks.
    ● What can you do for us?
That said, how could Red Hat Fedora community benefit from
your contributions? Well, Fedora was originally developed to
