Good afternoon, my name is Matteo and I am an User Experience Developer. What does this mean? I'll tell you later.
You can find me on the Web under the nickname Baddeo (what does this mean? go on my website and find out for yourselves) and during the week (you can find me) at Milo Creative, a digital design and development studio where I research, plan and build apps and websites that engage and educate people of all ages. We work with big companies (such as the BBC and Penguin Books) and small start-ups to help them create interactive products. We do that with tools and methods that I want to share with you today.

Here is a quick overview of what we’re going to do together. We will start by looking at how design can change our behaviours, focusing on how communication technologies have changed the way we interact with each other over the last 10 years. I will talk about information obesity and digital literacy, the issues and challenges of our age. Then I will show you examples of a design methodology, which is also a way of thinking and looking at the world, called computational thinking. This informs my professional practice and how I tackle projects, so after showcasing one of them, we will do a group activity, putting into practice a method that I will share with you. The activity will be playfully structured, like a board game, so it will have rules and you will take turns to play together. You will then be asked to share the outcomes and insights with ev...
