    to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.”

  3. Peace Q: What is “Peace?” - Is it only a

    lack of war? Q: What is the opposite of “Peace?” - With God? - With Others? - With Self?
  4. Luke 2:10-14 10And the angel said to them, “Fear not,

    for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
  5. Peace on earth Q: How does Jesus bring peace? Q:

    What existed before that peace?
  6. Romans 5 • Verse 1: Therefore, since we have been

    justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... • Verse 8: But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us… • Verse 10: For while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son…
  7. Peace for whom? Luke 2:14 - “Glory to God in

    the highest, and on earth peace for those with whom he is pleased!” Q: How do we please God? Q: Can we earn God’s favor? Hebrews 11:6 - “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
  8. Peace through faith in Christ Romans 15:13 – “May the

    God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” If you want Peace, Hope, Joy… You have to have Faith!
  9. Prince of peace Isaiah 9:6-7 “For to us a child
