This course tests you by asking you to type the
Chinese character, rather than the English meaning or the pinyin Wednesday, 9 January 13
Typing a character requires you to type the pinyin (without
the tone) and then select the character from a list Wednesday, 9 January 13
So it is kind of a combination test - partly
on pinyin, partly on the character Wednesday, 9 January 13
Plus, you are now getting pretty good at Chinese, so
it is about time you got to grips with typing it! Wednesday, 9 January 13
Don’t worry - it is very simple! Wednesday, 9 January

Wednesday, 9 January 13
So I will introduce how to do it on a
Mac first, and then explain how to use it. If you aren’t a Mac user, then goggle for “Google IME Chinese” and you should be able to find it. Then skip forward a couple of slides to get to the bit where I explain how to use it Wednesday, 9 January 13
