  2. Welcome Aboard! We are excited about your first day with

BizWorks! Be forewarned, you’ll have a lot of information thrown at you on the first day, and it probably won’t slow down for a while. A piece of advice: take notes! Lots of notes! Have you heard the phrase “drinking from a fire hose”? It’s an appropriate description for the pace of the work we do. Don’t let that worry you, though. Along with that work comes an amazing manager, a supportive team, and a group of leaders that really do care about you and your work. We’re completely different from other companies. Other companies say that, but at BizWorks, it’s true! We just launched our virtual operations which means that we get to hire the best people from anywhere who now have the opportunity to help us grow and advance within the company! We are small right now (about 25 employees at this time) but we are growing quickly, and while that is as a direct result of our reputation for doing great work what it means for you is amazing opportunities for advancement. We also aren’t a 5,000 person company with dozens of locations. You aren’t a faceless number to us. We treat our agents like adults and provide personalized attention because you deserve that! We’re a small business doing big things (or “small, but mighty” as we like to put it!). We know that you have a lot of questions as a new employee. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there and it’s understandable. Here are some of the most common questions and answers to get you started. If you have something that isn’t answered below, your team or managers will be happy to assist! A few things you need to know about your work: What do I wear? Whatever you want! That is the luxury of working from home! However, some agents see greater success by actually getting up and getting dressed for work as if they actually had to go into a regular office. It is all about the mindset! Who do I ask questions of if my manager isn’t present? We support each other, so you can get
  3. questions answered by anyone. Feel free to ask questions in

your chat groups for assistance. What do I do if I have a computer problem? Let your manager know as soon as you notice things are not working correctly. We will have someone take care of the problem right away. What are the standard working hours? This will be campaign specific. However, you are extremely fortunate to be able to work for an American employer where we strive to work 40 hours a week with weekends off! How flexible is my schedule? One thing we appreciate at BizWorks is the person you are outside of work. We work hard to be flexible when work and life events conflict. During those times stay in close communication with your manager if possible. It’s more about fitting your work into your life than the other way around.

will find a copy of your script. Your script is the key to your success. In order to be successful you MUST know your script verbatim! Practice makes perfect, and although you will recite your script up to 500 times in a single day, you must know it by heart and be able to recite word for word to your supervisor before you actually get on the telephone. If you are unable to recite your script verbatim by memory on your first day, you will be sent back home and given one more opportunity the following day.
