NBA Stats Critique What did they do well? • Data is presentable and well organized What did we learn? • ALL THE STATS What can they do better? • Association of teams with players in API • UI needs work - links that aren’t obvious, too much whitespace, test page’s output What puzzles us? • Navigation • Players in multiple teams
12. Self Critique What did we do well? • Created a user friendly front-end with links on every page to related pillars. • Worked well as a team. Everyone had something to do and made sure to get it done. What did we learn? • Many different tools such as Bootstrap, Nginx, uWSGI, Flask and more. • How much work is required for a well-organized website. What can we do better? • Get more data and make the look of our website more consistent across all of the different types of browsers. Less hack-y usage of tools. What puzzles us? • How different browsers can affect appearance so significantly. For example, we set up or landing pages to fade out the color of our images when the user’s mouse hovers over them, which works on most browsers except Firefox (which fades gray to color!).
