These slides present an overview of the feedback collected during two workshops held on October and December 2025 about the development of an Early Alert System (for Invasive Alien Species) at European level.

Output workshop with EASIN and project partners, 2 Oct 2025 Species filter •Better, hierarchical (?) species search: align with EASIN species mapper tool, e.g. filter species on environment. • Extend species list to include species not yet in Europe, but identified by the EU Horizon Scanning (Nunes et al. 2025) Area filter •Align with EASIN species mapper areas, e.g. marine regions. New filter •Add filter based on basisOfRecord: e.g. HumanObservation, MachineObservation, materialSample (includes eDNA data).
5. Output workshop with EASIN and project partners, 2 Oct 2025 New alert criteria •Novelty detection: get alerted if new alien species are detected for the first time in the selected area. New features •A “clear all” filters button •Allow users to download occurrences related to a specific alert. Visualization •When zooming in, option to get different colours by species, basis of record or other feature
