  8. MoFS FutureSports.io Robot Combat games are fighting & engineering competitions

that were pioneered in the early days of the Bay Area tech boom, where home-brew machines were pitted against each other in battle to the death. What started as an underground fight club for engineers has recently emerged as a foundation of STEM education programs. As an exercise in brain as well as brawn, robot combat offers a level playing field to all competitors. Loud, explosive and thrilling for audiences, robot combat games have been an audience favorite on TV, online and in many live events throughout the Bay Area and around the globe. Sports drones In more ways than one, drones represent the fastest of all Future Sports. With speeds up to 100 mph and a unique out-of-body flight experience, it’s easy to understand how FPV drone racing became a global phenomenon with million dollar prizes in just a few short years. Drone sports have massive youth appeal, with many of the world’s best pilots still in their teens, making drone sports irresistible as a source of friendly competition, but also as the gateway to a passion for engineering and science. 14. FSA FutureSports.io Phase 1: Future Sports Academy Future Sports Academy

is the first phase of a grand vision unifying education, tech-sports and entertainment into a single, large-scale facility in San Francisco – the Museum of Future Sports. The goal is ambitious but straightforward - create a cultural centerpiece with global appeal, while activating and enriching local communities. This effort will require a multi-year, stair-step approach but our momentum is growing. Future Sports Academy has already garnered the support of San Francisco city officials, local non-profit organizations, real estate developers and residents. Future Sports Academy has secured an 11,000 sq ft. SOMA venue at below- market rate to begin educational programming immediately. With the support of so many local individuals and organizations, we are confident in both the strength of the vision and the plan to succeed. For more
