  1. Purpose • Animal shelters are filled with animals that haven’t

been adopted yet • Our website aims to connect individuals looking for a pet with a large sample of dogs, cats, and birds. • All animals on our site are from the Austin area ◦ Found through shelters and adoption centers provided by APIs from those centers
  2. What did we do well? • Simple but helpful landing

page design • Lots of options on the search function • Using bootstrap components to our advantage • Sizing our table/images large enough to be easily visible and useful • Linking images directly to the adoption page to streamline the process
  3. What did we learn? • How to scrape data from

external APIs • How to code in React • How to use Bootstrap • How many dogs
  4. What can we do better? • Add more species of

pets, for example hamsters • Could vary the color scheme between models • Could’ve added more icons and played around with formatting more
  5. What puzzles us? • Why some available pet APIs gave

us inconsistent and unusable data back • Why our About page spacing kept changing, despite us not changing the code at all
