ILLUSTRATOR: BUILT IN SHORTCUTS & ACTIONS • Illustrator has some capability to set shortcuts, but it is limited—Not all menu items available • No ability to set a shortcut for “File>Scripts>…” • Actions can be set, but only ‘F’ keys, and I experienced problems with consistency, app stability, etc. cairn.pw/nacis2017
5. SOLUTION: 3RD PARTY APP • A 3rd Party App is not ideal, but does the job! AutoHotKey + Scripts Spark app + shortcut library cairn.pw/nacis2017
6. SPARK 3RD PARTY APP : MAC • Loads menu items from any app and allows shortcuts to be set for any menu item • Somewhat finicky, but very useful • Free cairn.pw/nacis2017
7. AUTOHOTKEY 3RD PARTY APP : WINDOWS • Extremely flexible, can bind a key to pretty much anything • Does not have a GUI— write your own .ahk scripts. • Big user community • Free, Open Source cairn.pw/nacis2017
