tales and i found them on youtube with english subtitles - i don't expect you to watch them all, i just wanted to give you options to choose whichever you like the most... they're all very iconic, i watch them every year, and they're in order of how iconic and beloved they are the percentage are the ratings on czech version of imdb lmao funny how i have so much shit to do but i am making powerpoint presentation on fairy tales this is peak of my life
oříšky pro Popelku Three Wishes For Cinderella Princ a Večernice Prince and Vesper Panna a netvor Beauty and the Beast Jak se budí princezny How to Wake Up a Princess 01 04 02 05 03
tradition to watch it on christmas in scandinavia, czechia, slovakia, austria and germany, so it‘s best known out of all these • aesthetics of this one are chefs kiss • THE MUSIC • a retelling of cinderella that is mildly based on czech folk tale version about cinderella, rather than the perrault's version, but it takes bits and pieces from everywhere. feminist cinderella!!!! • watched it three times this christmas already • the best cinderella you‘ll ever see
Police 10% 60% Most popular costumes Clown 30% It’s the biggest planet in the Solar System and the fourth-brightest Saturn is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium
is REALLY CZECH, follows this one folk tale pretty closely, depicts a mythical creature from our folklore called čert (chort on wiki) - a devil who's not that evil, and a friendship between him and a human • it's an 80s film so not as aesthetically pleasing as other films on this list but its still so good, its inspired by fanfan la tulipe • we find it very funny but idk how well the humour would translate • truly the best choice if youre looking for folklore vibes
on leprince de beaumont‘s version • EVERY KID EVER was scared shitless by this one, my dad still refuses to watch it bc it „scarred“ him lmao • honestly this one is a vibe, also THE AESTHETICS!!! • it's SO GOOD but it's so different from the first two bc of its scary elements • made by one of our best directors of all times • the beast is played by a our really famous ballet dancer and idk i think its cool • the best beauty and the beast you‘ll ever see
prince before she falls asleep so its not that weird • but it's not based on any sources from around here, i don't think we have our own version of sleeping beauty, again it takes bits and pieces from everywhere • similar vibes to cinderella cause the director‘s same • this movie is the cutest shit ever • also isnt that the most beautiful princess you‘ve ever seen, she‘s so PRETTYYYYY • the best sleeping beauty you‘ll ever see
the kings of moon, sun and wind and their sister vesper who falls in love with a common prince, but she gets taken by lord of clouds and rains, and the prince must go on a quest to find her • not as typical of a folk story but it‘s really cute • used to be my favourite when i was a kid, haven't seen this one in like two years tbh but im watching it tonight lmao • a little horror-y compared to the rest, but not as scary as beauty and the beast • bruuuuh i cant wait to watch this tonight
– three wishes for cinderella, how to wake up a princess for horrory vibes – beauty and the beast for folk vibes – give the devil his due (and prince and vesper but the devil one is just better) so my suggestion would be three wishes for cinderella and if you wanna make me extra happy than also give the devil his due also i am finally watching martin eden film today so yeah
