    by the MySQL Community Team at Oracle and by previous winners to some members of the MySQL community who have contributed to the promotion of MySQL throughout the past year. As started last year, we will aslo reward a MySQL Legend. Legends are remarkable members of the MySQL community who have made a signi cant and positive impact on the adoption, development and evolution of MySQL.   3. Laurynas Biveinis is a notable gure in the MySQL ecosystem,

    particularly known for his contributions to performance optimization, bug xing, and codebase improvements. Laurynas is one of the most proli c contributor of MySQL (84 in 8.0) He is recognized for his in-depth technical expertise, particularly in areas related to storage engines, especially InnoDB and MyRocks.   4. René Cannaò is a well-known gure in the MySQL ecosystem,

    particularly known as the author of ProxySQL. He's a very active member of the Community and always willing to help others and share his knowledge over slack and social media.   5. Sinisa was employee #2 in MySQL AB, worked and continue

    to work at MySQL Support in Oracle. His knowledge and passion to ght for MySQL quality is exceptional. Valerii Kravchuk wrote the following line about Sinisa in his blog: "He was one of MySQL people who in uenced me a lot and I tried to play "be er Sinisa" for a couple of years at my current job." His in uence on MySQL is invaluable. He worked on countless bugs and helped many customers to solve their issues always with the same rigor and passion.     He has been active in the community and has a ended events like FOSDEM and Percona Live for years. He has been very active in bugs and regressions for MySQL's bene t. Jean-François also maintains the h ps://planet.oursqlcommunity.org/ He recently submi ed contributions to MySQL too.   7. Ma Lord is a well-regarded expert in database technologies, especially

    known for his work with MySQL and involvement in the broader database community. He has contributed to various database design, optimization, and implementation aspects, frequently sharing insights and best practices with developers and database administrators. Ma 's a hidden hero in the MySQL ecosystem. where he played an important role as Product Manager.   8. Shlomi Noach is a prominent gure in the open-source database

    community. He is best known for his work on MySQL and speci cally for creating and maintaining Orchestrator, a MySQL high-availability and replication management tool. Schlomi also worked on GH-OST. Shlomi often shares his knowledge through blog posts, amazing presentations, and collaborations with other database professionals, focusing on database reliability, scalability, and automation.
