This Was Our Pact -- Ride to The Top

This Was Our Pact is a graphic novel by Ryan Andrews (https://www.ryanandrews.com/), author and illustrator. In reading the novel I was struck by its beauty and sincerity. I kept thinking - I should board a scene for the fun of it. Eventually I did. IN NO WAY DO I OWN THIS PROPERTY... simply a fan doing some fan art.

PREMISE: A group of boys set out on a journey to follow floating lanterns down a river, only to encounter a surreal world they didn't expect to find. 

THE SCENE: The two primary characters are on their own, as they are the only two willing to make the increasingly bizarre journey. They are lost and trying to find their way back to the river when they stumble upon a mysterious call-box.
