3. History of Picture Editing History of editing photos dates back to the 1860s. In 1910 they would put images together for putting family members in the same picture when they were not really all there. They cut them out of other photos and pasted them on to the other photo.
4. In 1937 Adolf Hitler has Joseph Goebbels removed from the photo. In 1942 Benito Mussolini had his horse handler removed from the picture.
5. In 1989 a cover of TV Guide had a picture of Oprah Winfrey on it with the body of Ann- Margret to her head.
6. In 2000 the University of Wisconsin at Madison changed a photo by digitally inserting a black student. The school wanted to show their diversity.
