(Sun and Netscape Announce JavaScript) Key points of this release are: * Sun and Netscape announce JavaScript, an object-oriented scripting language based on the Java programming language. * JavaScript is aimed at making it easier for non-programmers to create web pages that employ Java applets, without having to learn how to program in Java.
