  1. Q: Which Learning Activity did you complete for module 3?

For my final learning activity, I chose to complete the "Living into your values" worksheet under the leadership competency. It is based on a quote from Brene Brown, who I am familiar with, so I chose to complete it.
  2. Q: What did you learn about yourself in the process

and how will you implement your learning within your community? I learned that out of a list full of values, I believe I value humor and trust the most. I think I would also like a leader who shares the same values as me. What can I say? I like being trusted to complete work, and I enjoy when others get my sense of humor. Without these two values, I would not be who I am.
  3. I will implement this realization that I like being funny

and trustworthy in the future by trying to show my humor in my work more, and by asking more questions during class so that my teachers can trust that I’m paying attention.
  4. Q: Which competency do you feel you have strengthened the

most during this course, and how do you see it helping you in your career? Communication is probably the competency I struggled the most with, but also the one I probably strengthened the most.
  5. I used to be afraid that I would be shut

down, or laughed at, but my fears were totally ungrounded. As soon as I realized that everything was fine, it was like a door opened in me. (Though I am by no means cured of my shyness)
  6. Q: Was there something that you learned by stretching outside

of your comfort zone in your work term? I learned that if you don't ask, you don't get. Many times, I felt very uncomfortable asking someone who seemed busy, or who I don't know well for help. (Especially if I couldn’t remember their name… I’m bad with names…)
  7. But once I learned that people weren't that scary, and

that sometimes you just have to ask, I stopped being so afraid. (And I eventually learned peoples names by asking and eavesdropping, haha…)
  8. Q: What did you learn about yourself in the process?

I learned that I am a very paranoid and pessimistic person, haha. I tend to expect the worst, so when things go better than expected, I am especially surprised and happy.
  9. To be honest, I already knew I was like this,

but I often forget about how much this part of my personality can take over and drag me down. But on the upside, it’s harder for me to be disappointed if I already expect the worst!
  10. Q: Of the competencies that you have explored in this

course, which two would you like to focus on and develop further? As I said before, I would like to develop my communication skills more, along with my collaboration skills, so that working with others will be all the more fun.
  11. Q: What steps will you take to help you achieve

this goal? I would like to talk and learn from others more, so that in the future, I will be able to talk more comfortably with coworkers and supervisors!
