Suppose someone gives you pen and paper and teaches you how to write: would you be trapped between these four corners, or would you break free and make a paper airplane out of it?
Suppose someone hands you a guitar and teaches you how to play: would you be tangled in its strings, or would you break free and use the body of the guitar to make drum sounds?
Now suppose someone gives computers to children and teach them to code: would they see them as tech, or would they break free and use them as tools for amplifying their thoughts?
Would they understand it as a new medium -one that allows representing thoughts unthinkable until now- or would they perceive it as the latest version of paper?
In this talk I'll cover what would mean to live the Computer Revolution (as Alan Kay says), reflecting on the point of view we have about technology and the way we use it.
