G.S with GNOME How? The GNOME Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Orinda, California, United States. It was Founded in 15 August 2000 by Miguel de Icaza and Federico Mena Quintero, they were Mexican university students. Together they announced the creation of the GNOME project, with an intention at creating “a free complete set of applications, and desktop tools that entirely on free software”.
