    the Piñon Hills Family. From comforting an infant to leading a large or small group of elementary age students, we are called to minister to children and families in a way that forms a foundation for a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Working with children is a wonderful way to learn and to serve, whether you are well-versed in the Bible or relatively new in your faith walk. Children are the most welcoming and affirming little members of the PHCC family. Your investment of time and talent in this ministry will reap tremendous reward. Areas of opportunity: Greeters & Check-in Services | Welcome families and provide parents with peace of mind, knowing that their children are safe, secure and well cared for. This the first point of contact with families and children. Must be comfortable with computers. Worship Ministry | Lead children through music and media in worship services that bring them joy and glorify God. Team Leader | Assure well-organized, learning experiences to show kids that God loves them and to help kids love church. Ministry coordinators work with volunteers, staff the classrooms and prepare rooms for teaching staff. Teachers | Bring the love of Christ to our children by teaching children biblical principles in a fun and relatable way. Assistant Teachers | Be a support to the teacher by engaging children in music and crafts. If you are a friendly person who is organized and structured, you’ll make a great fit! Children’s Ministry 2

    share Christ’s love with children through structured interaction. Summer Programs | Be part of action-packed curriculum that spells FUN in many imaginative ways. Chaperones | Accompany children and teachers on field trips and special events. Provide security and assurance for safe, fun-filled activities.   6. Teens have a special place at Piñon Hills Community Church.

    Our student programs, theMix and theMix JV, are designed with middle school and high school students in mind. There are many ways to be a part of this team. Areas of opportunity: Greeter/Check-in | Welcome students and make them feel comfortable; ensure that students log-in on the attendance computer. Guest Services Coordinator | Recruit, schedule, train and supervise adult and student volunteers. Worship Team Coordinator | Establish worship teams, lead practice sessions, coordinate audio/visual support, recruit and encourage worship leaders, musicians and vocalists. The coordinator organizes and participates in weekly practice sessions. Band Members | Musicians need a good sense of timing. Players should have the ability and desire to be a part of the overall sound, not the center of it. Must be interested in worshiping, not performing. Vocalists | Must have the ability to sing and be interested in worship, not performing. The ability to sing parts is helpful. Sound/Light Technician | Create lighting for worship and maintain the effectiveness of audio and lights. This position requires knowledge of sound and lighting equipment. Computer Technician | Coordinate sermon notes or clips on the screen, in time with speaker prompts on a rotating schedule. Teacher | If you are an effective communicator and love to engage students teaching biblical principles, this could be the job for you. Curriculum is provided for this position. This position meets with the Director of Student Ministry twice a month. Student Ministry 4
  7. Bus Driver | Transport students to field trips and special

    events. A CDL license and clean driving record are required. Van Driver | Transport small groups of students to special events. A clean driving record is required. Event Coordinator | Work with the Director of Student Ministry to develop an annual schedule of events, activities and fundraisers. This position will also recruit event teams that will carry out events. Event Facilitator | Are you interested in being the point person that makes the events happen? This position will also lead games and activities scheduled for events. Event Set-up/Tear-down | Be the wheels that make things work! Work as a team and get everything ready for events. Students will help tear-down afterwards. SERVE Project Coordinator | Organize teams of student and adult leaders to plan and develop our annual SERVE projects. Each year we will focus on one world project and two community projects. S.A.L.T. Coordinator | This position will be responsible for managing student applications, scheduling and facilitating monthly meetings, as well as organizing curriculum for these meetings. The S.A.L.T. Coordinator will be required to summarize the goals and objectives discussed in meetings in order to implement these ideas in ministry. Student Growth Coordinator | Play a key role in developing new growth opportunities for students by facilitating and leading group leader meetings, organizing curriculum and providing training for new leaders.     others and help them grow in their faith, while establishing Christ-centered relationships. Areas of opportunity: Community Group Leaders | Do you have a heart for teaching and encouraging others? This position requires a healthy grasp of the Bible, a desire to connect with others and the ability to facilitate conversations. Community Group Hosts | Provide a safe and hospitable place for people to connect and grow. If you love to show hospitality to others by opening up your home or if you enjoy organizing refreshments and meals, this might be the place for you! Institute of Biblical Studies Instructor | If you love to teach and have an extensive knowledge and grasp of the Bible, this just might be the place for you! This position requires the ability to facilitate conversations and lead in a classroom environment. Hospital Visitation | Be a blessing to others by visiting them and keeping them uplifted while they are in the hospital or nursing home. This is a great way to fellowship and serve at the same time. Men’s Ministry | Guys, come together! When men connect and grow, great things happen and a powerful ripple effect touches families, workplaces and the church. If you are an encourager, this position will open the doors to challenge men on their journey to become what God intends them to be. Men’s Study Group Facilitator | Facilitate men’s study groups by preparing lessons and media and developing relationships with the men that attend. Adult Ministry 6

    the leadership of defining and organizing ministries, activities and events for women, this may be the opportunity you are looking for. Women’s Ministry Team Leader | This is an opportunity to serve and connect with other women in our church and community. This leadership role will lead a women’s group, plan, host or implement activities for women. Women’s Event Host | Event hosts love to be involved with hospitality during events! They may be involved with decorating as well as making people feel welcome at the event. Women’s Group Leader/Facilitator | Do you have a heart for encouraging and teaching others? Women’s Project Planning | This position allows you to be creative and organized while working with a team to plan projects and events.     impact on people? Creating a warm, accepting and inviting atmosphere is a must for our Guest Services Team! Areas of opportunity: Greeter/Usher | These are “people people.” Members of this ministry team are stationed at each entrance of the building, making sure everyone who attends PHCC feels welcome and has the information and direction they need to enjoy the services and ministries. Ushers attend to seating and collect the offerings during services. Welcome Center | These are “people in the know” -- members who greet guests, give directions, answer questions and facilitate event reservations. Welcome Center team members receive up-to-date information prior to each service. Guest Services 8 I love being part of the Guest Services team... “I feel it is my job to encourage new people to feel comfortable in an environment that’s unfamiliar to them.” - Craig Nordyke
  11. It’s all about being hospitable to our guests while doing

    what you love! Areas of opportunity: Café Assistant | Ahhhh, a great cup of Joe. It takes dozens of coffee bar hosts working on four teams to serve our members and guests. This is great training for work in the coffee industry. Café Cashier | Keep the lines moving by practicing good, customer-service skills and managing the cash drawer. Kitchen Assistants | People who love to help in the kitchen have the opportunity to work alongside Executive Chef Jason DePeal and learn from him. This position will help with food prep, cooking and cleaning. Event Set-Up | Special and themed events bring people to PHCC who may not regularly attend. We want them to feel welcome and comfortable. Events require additional room and table décor, as well as set-up and break-down. We move lots of chairs and tables here. Special Events Server | At PHCC, we prepare and serve a lot of food. Special event servers help with serving the food. A lot of additional support is also required for these events, including food prep, table décor, set-up, break-down and clean-up. It takes dozens of people to make these events run smoothly. Bookstore Assistant | Do you love books? Help customers find what they are looking for. This position requires great customer-service skills and the ability to manage the cash drawer.   12. Lead our congregation with God’s power through music, drama, video,

    lighting and other creative elements. Live out your calling through creative arts. Areas of opportunity: Background Vocalists | Do you have solid vocals and the ability to blend with multiple pitch groups? (The ability to sing parts is a big plus.) Worship Leaders | Leaders have the ability and confidence to lead teams and congregations through prayer, music, announcements and more. Band Members | Musicians need a good sense of timing. Players should have the ability and desire to be a part of the overall sound, not the center of it. Worship Administration | Oversee a database of the worship team members. Tasks include communicating prayer requests and birthdays to members, getting connected protocol, as well as scheduling and coordinating practices and special events. Director | A good working knowledge of media services and teamwork are essential for the director. This position makes sure the services integrate and operate seamlessly. Computer Technician | An efficient multi-tasker with impeccable timing makes sure that sermon notes and written announcements are placed on the screens in perfect time with speaker and program prompts. Camera Operator | The attentive members of the Media Team who operate the cameras are guided by the director. Creative Arts 10

There is nothing more fulfilling than worshiping God and sharing it with others.” - Ashley Phillips Lighting | Create appealing, theme-oriented lighting for each worship experience. There is plenty of opportunity for involvement in special lighting arrangements during holidays and special events. Sound | This position works with the worship team during practice and during services to maintain integrity and effectiveness of audio. This position requires knowledge of sound equipment and experience in sound design. Media Administration | This organized and efficient team member will be involved in many different organizational tasks of the department, including making master copies of each service and duplicating DVDs and CDs for distribution, script writing, secretarial duties, etc.
  14. Variety! That’s the word that best describes the Marketing Team

    -- from collaborating new ideas to designing web graphics and printed content to producing the weekly bulletins. We do a little bit of everything here! If you love to design, write, proofread or perform general office tasks, the possibilities are endless. Areas of opportunity: Typesetting | Are you interested in desktop publishing? This position requires a working knowledge of Adobe CS4 software. Copywriters & Proofreaders | Do you love to write? Do you have a knack for spelling and grammar? At PHCC we write everything from curriculum to press releases to the bulletin! Production & Finishing Team | Do you have an eye for detail? This position handles projects in the finishing position, cutting and folding to make the final piece complete. Photographer | Would you like to help capture memories at PHCC? Sign up to be one of our photographers! Street Team | If you would like to help promote some of our concerts and special events in the community, this is the team for you!   15. 13 Are you someone who likes to keep everything in

    its place? Keeping our church looking good and running well is important to us. Areas of opportunity: Building Maintenance | People who serve in the maintenance ministry keep our building in shape, inside and out. A variety of skills are needed to tend to every aspect of building maintenance. Special Projects | Be a part of our special projects team. This team serves our seasonal maintenance and grounds needs. Custodial | General building clean-up, maintenance, vacuuming, mopping, window washing and restroom cleaning are just some of the services performed at PHCC. We have a very big house and it takes lots of hours to keep it in constant readiness for family and guests. Parking Lot Security | Our Dustin Campus has a huge parking lot! Help direct traffic before and after services. Sunday Clean-Up Crew | Spend an hour to an hour and a half, once or twice a quarter, helping clean after Sunday service. This helps the custodial staff get a jump start on the week! Facility Care I love being part of the Facility Care team... “I love that our whole family can serve the church together by being on the Sunday clean-up crew!” - Sara Gurrola
  16. Do you want to help people find a sense of

    purpose? Join the Serve Team for a chance to take part in this rewarding experience. Areas of opportunity: Recruitment | Use your gifts to engage people and recruit them to serve at PHCC. If you are friendly, assertive and love being part of a team, this is a perfect fit for you. This position will be responsible for making phone calls, greeting attenders and asking people to fill out volunteer surveys. Interviewing/Placement | Meet with people to discuss their experiences, abilities and interests. This will help you place them in a ministry that best suits them. Volunteers may be placed based on tasks or gifts. Calling | Maintaining communication with volunteers is crucial. This position will be involved in getting volunteers placed as well as following up with them to be sure they are happy and fitting in well in their ministry. Administrative | Help with the administrative tasks of the serving department. Communion Team | Be on a team that helps with the set-up of communion once a month. Benevolence Team | This team helps with meals during times of need. Events Team | Be a part of our events team and help reach the community! This team serves at special events that go above and beyond our regular weekend services, such as holiday services, concerts, community events and more. Serving Team 14 I love being part of the Serve team... ...because it gives us the opportunity to meet people and help them get involved with the church. Areas of opportunity: Short-term Mission Projects | This position gives God’s people the opportunity to reach, grow and serve in a strategic local or global location. The tasks performed on short-term projects vary based on the location and needs of the local people. Prayer Warriors | You can be actively involved in global outreach by regularly praying for our missionaries, long-term workers, national believers and for those who have yet to be reached with the gospel. Prayer warriors can also enlist prayer support in the church body through their friends and community groups.     this may be the place for you! Areas of opportunity: Receptionist | Fill-in occasionally during our staff meetings or vacations. It’s a great way to serve our staff and congregation. Bulletin Team | Join a team that works behind the scenes to get our bulletins ready for the weekend services. Offering Counter | If you enjoy working with numbers, this is a great way to utilize your skills. This position requires confidentiality and loyalty. Mail Team | Greeting cards, newsletters, annual reports -- we do it all! We have a great time getting our bulk-mail projects ready for the post office.
