The three projects include: 1) Vintage Bookmark 2) Vintage Birthday Card 3) Vintage Kitchen Magnet Set What you will need: • Photoshop (or Abode Elements) • The vintage images provided • This instruction book • 4 self-adhesive, business magnets (2.5” x 3”) • Blank notecard, glue or glue dots • Photo paper for printer • Clear, self-adhesive laminating sheets

  4. Open Photoshop and create a new canvas at: 5.5” high

    by 2” wide,150 DPI. Select bird of your choice and paste onto canvas. Resize to fit. Cut out the bird and leaves from background and delete the background. Import “berries” image. Resize to fit as you like. Fill background with same color as the berries background. Adjust size, rotation and position for berries and birds to your liking.   5. Open Swirl Design and paste into project. Use Color Balance

    to make the Swirl Design background the same color and hue as the overall background color. Use Levels to make Swirl Design background brighter to match the overall background. Use Color Balance to adjust Swirl Design element to a bright blue.   6. Open “Pressed Leaves”and select one of the leaf groups. Copy

    and paste into file. Scale and rotate to fit. Delete background. Select another leaf branch from the “Pressed Leaves” image. Repeat steps above. Open and paste “Brown Grunge Dark Edge” into file. Resize so that all edges fit snuggly to the bookmark edges. Make sure it is on the top level layer. Set Opacity to 50%.   7. Add text layers for each individual word. Select font style,

    font size, and color. Rotate if necessary and place where you like. Congratulations! Your vintage bookmark is now done. Print out on photo printer paper. Cut a little bit bigger then image, leaving a white edge around all sides. Lament both sides and cut to size, so only the image is showing.
