UX & Life Lessons Learned While Creating an App

Designing any iPhone app can be a challenge for a User Experience Designer. Having designed mobile UX & UI for several clients, Chad Q. Martin knew it couldn't be all that hard to make a productivity app that was designed to organize projects in a way that made sense to his brain.

Armed with that naive optimism, Chad and his business co-founder set out to create a personal project management app called Completion (http://CompletionApp.com). Come hear about what he learned about iPhone app development, marketing and himself in the seven month process of building the app.

Chad Q. Martin is the co-founder of Pivotal Action, Inc.– an app and web design studio in San Diego, where he is currently contracting as a mobile UX designer at HP. Chad gave up his lifetime pursuit of the rock and roll lifestyle for the glamor of app design and hasn't looked back since. He's also a committee member of UX Speakeasy and is currently planning Sketchcamp San Diego to inspire and inform other UX designers on how to better incorporate drawing into their UX workflow.
