My background • First steps ◦ First encounter with Linux back in ‘01 - RedHat 7 had no love for me ◦ Next, Mandrake 8 - first desktop Linux I was able to install ◦ Introduced to a large hall full of PCs - lab at Uni, mostly Linux • Followed by ◦ 8+ yrs of continuous sysadmin in telecommunications sector ◦ More of that to satisfy personal interests • Free time (if any) ◦ My hobbies include cycling

5. Linux use in Albania (server linux)* It turns out that a large part of albanian companies active in ISP, Banking, and Telecommunication sectors use Linux on their servers. Linux use on production servers ranges from 20% to 85% If you are interested * This information was obtained by companies operating in these sectors.
6. Minimal CentOS Installation - Start from the Minimal ISO image - Reduce number of unnecessary packages - Save resources for running (only) required services
