  1. We  are  sons  of  a  good  Father,     who

invites  us  into  ac?ve  sonship,     to  ini?ate  us  into  masculinity
  2. A  father  gives  his  son  good  gi@s   "Think  of

it  this  way:  if  your  son  asked  you  for   bread,  would  you  give  him  a  stone?  Of  course  not— you  would  give  him  a  loaf  of  bread.  If  your  son   asked  for  a  fish,  would  you  give  him  a  snake?  No,  to   be  sure,  you  would  give  him  a  fish—the  best  fish   you  could  find.  So  if  you,  who  are  sinful,  know  how   to  give  your  children  good  gi@s,  how  much  more  so   does  your  Father  in  heaven,  who  is  perfect,  know   how  to  give  great  gi@s  to  His  children!”     MaNhew  7:9-‐11  (The  Voice)
  3. We  aren't  meant  to  figure  out  life  on   our

own.     God  wants  to  father  us.     The  truth  is,  He  has  been  fathering  us   for  a  long  ?me  -‐  we  just  haven't  had   the  eyes  to  see  it.
  4. We  must  be  willing  to  take  an   enormous  risk,

and  open  our  hearts   to  the  possibility  that  God  is  ini?a?ng   us  as  men  -‐  maybe  even  in  the  very   things  in  which  we  thought  He'd   abandoned  us.     We  open  ourselves  up     to  being  fathered.
  5. I  believe  that  what  God  is  primarily   up  to

     at  any  point  in  a  boy's  or  a   man's  life  is  ini?a?ng  him.   *
  6. How  do  I  get  into  a  posture  to

receive  what  God  is  offering?   Specifically  focus  on  what  God  is   offering  and  inten?onally  disregard   what  He  isn't  offering   *
  7. “So  do  not  worry  about  tomorrow.   Let  tomorrow  worry

about  itself.   Living  faithfully  is  a  large  enough  task   for  today.”     MaNhew  6:34  (The  Voice)   "It's  not  my  job  to  determine  the   outcome,  it's  my  job  to  walk  in   obedience.”   Pastor  Steven  Fur?ck   Don’t  Stop  on  6   *
