Last year, I took DC Director Jeff Wamester’s Storyboarding class in Valhalla Art Academy.
The final was boarding a script he provided us called Aftermath. It was a really informative class! I had a lot of fun and learned a lot on how to think about my process as well as how to think about my work and journey in the industry.
It’s taken some time but I’ve finally completed the final board. If I worked it anymore I’ll go crazier lol thank you to everyone who gave me feedback on top of my initial notes.
I’m proud that I’ve seen it through. I’m grateful I had my classmates and friends to work together with on our own stuff because I initially started the class to help me cope with the loss of my Mom last year. I felt so lost and wondering what have I been striving for. Especially, with the state of the industry. With this I was able to consistently work towards completing a project no matter the ups and downs I was experiencing. I also take solace in knowing it’s been tough for a lot of us out here but we’ll pull through.
With this complete, I can finally move on mentally lol
While working on this I reinforced
Being consistent
Pushing myself
Completion over perfection
