  2. The Life Cycle of a Bedbug: Understanding the different stages

of bedbugs will allow you to gauge the level of infestation. This will give you a clear indication as to your next step to get rid of these infestations with the help of bed bugs pest control.
  3. Egg Stage: This is the start of the bed bug’s

life and can last between 6 to 10 days. At this stage, the eggs are generally 1-2 mm in length and milky white in complexion. A female bug can lay up to 500 eggs throughout her lifetime with a frequency of 1-5 eggs per day. The eggs can be single or in clusters and can generally be found in cracks and crevices to ensure their safety. These eggs hatch within two weeks. Once the young ones are released they immediately start to eat.
  4. Nymph Stage: The newly produced offsprings have to go through

various molting stages. There are a total of five nymph stages before they can reach adulthood. 1st Stage: At this stage, the bugs are merely 1.5 mm in length. They start to eat as soon as they hatch out of their eggs.
  5. 2nd Stage: In the second stage, the bugs are around

2 mm in length. 3rd Stage: The bugs grow further and in their third nymph stage, they are approximately 2.5 mm in length.
  6. 4th Stage: In the 4th nymph stage, a beg bug

can grow to a size of 3 mm in length. 5th Stage: This is the last nymph stage and at this stage bed bugs can be around 4.5 mm in length.
  7. Adult Stage: 10 weeks after hatching from the egg, a

bed bug attains full maturity. They are extremely crafty at sucking out your blood without causing any pain. You will only find red marks on your body from the positions they have sucked out your blood. They are around 5.5 mm long and can live for months without feeding. You can try bed bug heat treatment to get them out, but the best strategy would be to contact professionals as they contain the necessary tools and skillset to get rid of them for you
