Ian Lee

I am a cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of experience securing some of the nation’s most advanced computing environments. I currently serve as Director of Advanced Computing Solutions at ShorePoint Inc., where I lead the company’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) security efforts and contribute to strategic initiatives across AI, cloud, and critical infrastructure security.

Previously, I was a Security Architect at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where I designed and implemented resilient security architectures to protect national assets and mission-critical systems.

I am the founder and chair of the HPC Security Technical Exchange (STX), a government-wide collaboration advancing the security of next-generation computing platforms. I’m also an active open-source contributor, published author, and advocate for mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

My work bridges deep technical expertise and practical leadership, guided by a simple WHY: “To leave things better than I found them, so that those around me believe they can make a difference.”
