Ian Lee serves as HPC Security Architect and Security Operations Team Lead in the Livermore Computing division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory under the Department of Energy.

Ian has a strong background as a software developer, having worked on a variety of projects in image processing, GPU computing, web application development, and HPC system software configuration. He has a passion for the use and development of open-source software and practices and leads an ISCP project for Software Sustainability and Outreach, particularly of open-source software, produced by the laboratory. His personal mission is to always “leave things better than you found them.”
