By IPS (Indoor Positioning System) you can position yourself in buildings ,cinema,mall,... and you can use all features of positioning like routing.

2. What is GPS? The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of at least 24 satellites. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, with no subscription fees or setup charges.
4. Main Problems of GPS - GPS Signals can’t Crossing over walls or roofs (They don’t work indoors) - They only really operate in two dimensions

6. Indoor Positioning System (IPS) Because Gps can’t work indoors and it only works two dimensions we need to use another technology. Then Indoor Positioning System (IPS) is coming up.
8. How it works?? There is several ways to implement IPS (Bluetooth,Wireless Waves,Infrared,...) but we cover only Bluetooth (BLE) in this slide show.
9. Beacon It’s a small device that emits signals in specific interval (e.g 500 every ms) Then devices (phones) receive this signal and by bandWidth of signal they can calculate the distance from same Beacon
