    to as a vector to introduce a more modern design. Senior staff had prior experience with new technology from a different product. No extra dependencies introduced. Right mix of influence held by pair introducing the change.

    to a mission: the task to be accomplished and the reason or intent. Of the two, the intent is predominant. While a situation may change, making the task obsolete, the intent is more permanent and continues to guide our actions.

    command from the front does not equate to over-supervision of subordinates.

    intent is understood and refined, the mission is on. Needs explicit authority. Must be made clear this is the leadership model in place. Requires highly engaged decision maker (tech lead, manager, playing coach, etc.) Best for small, reversible hypothesis framed by known assumptions.
