Math Nights are Free events co-hosted by Mathnasium and school faculty for both parents and students in support of STEM education.

How Do Math Nights Work? • Mathnasium partners with a parent leader organization or school to plan and host a Math Night • Math Night is planned for a two-hour block on a weekday evening (optimally between 5-8pm) • Mathnasium brings all games, instructions and expertise (free-of-charge) • The parent leader organization and/or school provides the venue, helps recruit volunteers, manages event promotion & RSVPs, and assists in other event- related logistics • Students, families and school staff/administration are invited to attend • Students and families engage in fun math games and activities 5

7. 7 Partnering to Host A Math Night Mathnasium Provides: • Games and Game Passports • Instructions, Signs, Banners • Math Expertise • Rewards and Prizes • Other Schools Provide: • Venue for 150+ people • Publicity leading up to event • Volunteers (>20 is ideal) • Other
8. 8 Math Night Game Stations: • Games are grade-appropriate : K-2 and Grade 3 and Above. • While a math-only Math Night has 10 stations, the number of stations could be adjusted to suit your needs. • Sample Math Games: • 10 SLAM • Sticky Notes Number Line • Addimorphs • Sum Up / Sum Down • Blink • Tangrams • Addition/Multiplication Heads-up • Playing the Odds
