Ubuntu virtualization setup

1. Virtualization Tool For portability reasons I prefer using VirtualBox to virtualize my environments. I use the most recent amd64 installer for Ubuntu, and once installed it’s a good practice to install the extpack and having the related version guest additions ISO image. In order to integrate the host and guests it’s necessary to set up a Host- only network as shown in the following screenshots. Having this, you won’t need an external network and you could use the Host-only network even if there’s no internet connection.
5. Operating System • Obviously… Ubuntu. A 64 bit server it’s ok.
12. Additional server instance setup • Now it’s time to select some options to optimize the instance. Do as follows under the instance settings option.
