A case for Internet.org

It seems to be politically correct to oppose Internet.org and Airtel Zero. But the long term and short term benefits of it far outweighs potential loss from 'Net neutrality'

2. Why is internet connectivity in India so expensive?
4. Because nobody wants to connect to us :(
5. India is not (yet) a significant market
6. We pay international rates to access servers in other countries.
7. What can change with Airtel Zero
8. 800 million online (> 150 million today)
9. Servers closer home in India
10. More people would want to connect :)
11. Cheaper internet, more services
12. While it puts smaller players at a disadvantage
13. Overall it does provide a more connected India
14. Internet is already a game of winner takes all
15. In my opinion - The opportunities provided by Airtel Zero or Internet.org far outweighs any potential problems

19. Why not free internet?
20. Someone has to pay for it
21. Profitable businesses can, in return for traffic.
22. And nobody can afford to pay for 800 million people to stream TV reruns or whatever we all know the internet is for ;)
23. Where does net neutrality start and stop.
24. Did people protest against free Radio?
25. How about free newspapers?
26. Why can’t Facebook or Flipcart be free?
27. Is it because they work on a browser?
28. Are parental filters against Net neutrality?
29. Can the consumer not decide?
